Reddall Hill – A Model Railway Layout

This video showcases the model railway layout Reddall Hill. It is the result of a few years work by the Cradley Heath Model Railway Club. It is named after the road in which the club is situated on, that being Reddal Hill road in Cradley Heath. It started touring exhibitions in the Midlands in the early 2000’s and still does, with a few dates book for 2011 and 2012. It has now passed into my hands and I am slowly improving it, including the addition of working platform lamps and street lights, as well as adding in signals and other details. The layout is of a fictional location, intended to be set somewhere in the midlands in the late 1950’s. The era means that locomotives with both the early and late British Railways crests can be seen, along with a mixtures of crimson & cream and maroon coaches.
