ive been interested in model railroading and railroad history ever since i was little ive got lionel stuff i want you to answer and give your opinion

I do both. They both have their merrits.
O scale takes more room but is more flexable. If you can deal with the middle rail being there it also has lots of scale equipt. available for it. More of everything is available including command systems.
HO is smaller, more fragile, but you can pack more into less space. Generally cheaper but more scale stuff can be found. Downside is that there is less available accessories, engines, systems etc. Plus if your not carefull they break easier (details like handrails etc)
