Why have we fallen into the train of thought that there is nothing we can do about the high gas prices?

Wednesday, March 6th, 2013

Question by Jon B: Why have we fallen into the train of thought that there is nothing we can do about the high gas prices?
The news stations just report that gas prices are increasing with no solution to the problem (perhaps they are not allowed to rile the people up). The politicians apparently don’t have to pay for gas hence, it doesn’t affect them. We just keep pumping, keep complaining, and no one gets together to dispute it. What stops Americans from putting their voices together and making a difference? Organizations like UCAN only report where you can pay less for gas, what about fighting for prices to come down? I’m ready are you? Let’s post some viable solutions to the right now problem, not electric cars of tomorrow or alternative fuel solutions (or bikes….) Right Now solutions.

Politician do not have the genitalia to address
the fuel issues.

oil companies and refineries do NOT dictate fuel prices

demand and speculators create price fluctuations.

I make a lot of things out of beads. I make jewelry, but not as much. It is really fun to make things out of beads… you can make just about anything out of them. Try adding beads to one of your clothing items, like the straps to a tank top, or a belt.

There are also other things like painting… you can paint ceramics, or get some medium sized poster board, fold it in half, put paint on one side(do not use a brush) just splatter it on the one side… many colors! then push it together and peel it apart… when it drys it looks really cool!

You could try drawing! use charcoal pencils…close your eyes and shee where you mind takes you. It is really fun and it calms nerves really well!

Where is there an abundance of electric Pokemon in Pearl?

Question by Katherine: Where is there an abundance of electric Pokemon in Pearl?
I need to train my Onix for the 8th badge and I would like to know where there is many electric Pokemon for me to train with. Please! 🙂

Best answer:

Answer by Me Gusta
As far as I know, the only place with an abundance of electric Pokemon are in Hoenn and Kanto. If it’s an Onix, try fighting in caves using ground moves against Gravellers and such. I don’t suggest using an Onix though, it doesn’t have a very good offense. I suggest using a grass type (Grotle or better if you have it as a starter, or a Roserade). Personally, I beat him with my normal Pokemon, since I started with Chimchar. He’s not very strong.

how to make a house model like the one architects use to show there clients?

Saturday, January 5th, 2013

Question by hewittgurl24: how to make a house model like the one architects use to show there clients?
where do you get the supplies to make it like the little windows and doors.

Best answer:

Answer by mike1942f
Most models are built of foam board which is white paper on two sides. It takes drawings, painting, or pasted on images. Depending on the thickness of the walls in scale, poster or tag board which is thin smooth cardboard, may be used. Doors are normally non-working and windows are drawn or occasionally cut out to represent glass. Narrow strips of balsa wood can be glued on for frames.
If you are talking more detail than a large building in a small space, then by selecting the right scale, you can use siding and architectural pieces from model railroading or doll houses.

Does anybody else out there enjoy laying under the Christmas Tree?

Sunday, October 28th, 2012

Question by zeebya: Does anybody else out there enjoy laying under the Christmas Tree?
I started doing this as a kid, and I still love it. I sometimes, when I’m relaxing or have nothing else to do, will lay on the floor under the Christmas tree, with my head right next to the trunk. It’s almost magical, as you look up into the forest above you, the shining lights and pretty ornaments. It’s almost like being in the Ewok village, or a miniature person on a model railroad. Your consciousness just seems to explore upward into the tree, letting your spirit, for a short time, revisit that feeling of security and warmth that was a constant when I was a kid.
I find it quite relaxing. How ’bout you?
Yeah, I have cats, too. But they’re pretty relaxed, and I often tie a couple of Christmas ribbons and bows to their collar as if they’re a gift, so that when they’re under the tree we can joke that they’re “the presents.”
