Question by Head banger: What section and years did D&H 4025 operate in?
I have a N-scale Kato Alco RS-1 model after D&H 4025 need help figuring out years of operation and where it operated to create my model railroad layout.

Best answer:

Answer by Allison
Delaware & Hudson locomotive 4025 was an Alco RS2. It was built in November 1949, and retired from service in October 1967. It was equipped with a steam generator which indicates it was, at times, used in passenger service. You can see a photo of 4025 by logging on to the website below, and search the Alco locomotive roster link.

The word in the website that doesn’t completely spell out (don’t know why) is “hudson”.

N / 240 = 4 / 120

N = 8

That is the number of turns needed for the secondary.
