The Mendocino Coast Model Railroad and Historical Society is building a G-gauge layout near the Vegetable Garden at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. The Digger Creek & Northern Railroad is modeled after the real Skunk Railroad between Fort Bragg and Willits, and will illustrate the logging history of the region in the Age of Steam.


Here’s some video from 1986 of another layout built by Gregg Condon. This one is an HO scale layout representing southwest Wisconsin. It was inspired by past Model Railroader magazine editor Paul Larson. See Gregg’s current layout in Great Model Railroads 2007.
