Question by : Looking for good places to entertain 11 year old boy in San Diego?
My 11 year old nephew is coming to visit and I’m looking for a good place to take him in San Diego. I know he likes water, so the beach is good. Are there any good theme parks and things around? What about a good children’s museum? Is there somethign really cool, that’ll just make his visit?

What are good questions to ask at interviews?

Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

Question by Kate: What are good questions to ask at interviews?
I’m applying to an electrical company for an electrician apprenticeship and was hoping to find out some good questions to ask an electric company, as well as good questions to ask any company when at an interview. I’m terrible when it comes to thinking of questions to ask, so it’d be great help to know what other people think are good questions!

Best answer:

When the interview is nearing its end, ask what type of person they are looking for to be integrated into the company. Also ask if there is anything they see in you that you can improve upon.

What are good christmas sets to collect?

Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

Question by Bri: What are good christmas sets to collect?
I’m thinking about starting to collect a Christmas set. Like something that can go on forever. I’m not looking for “just collect ornaments” I’m looking for, “You could collect the village stuff from (brand name)” Here are some things I like that may spark ideas: Village scenes, musical stuff, animated, lights, horses(and animals in general), and yes I celebrate Christmas.

Best answer:

Answer by Phillipe
First and foremost…do not collect anything that you don’t like yourself. and don’t believe any ad which says, “collector’s limited edition” thinking that it means the item is going to go up in value. What it really means is that the company will make as much of the product as it has sales for.

Once you start collecting horses, you will wind up with horseshoes, rodeo ropes and saddles…You will also be expected to be able to ride one.

collecting snow globes just means a lot of dust collectors

nativity sets will start to take up too much room after a while.

angels will make you look like a religious nut to visitors

My own favorite is novelty ties. ( I have 40 of them ) and can wear them year round. You could specialize in just Christmas ones…but the musical ones get to be a pain…same tune.

A model railroad!! Diversity and class. You can get the village scene, little horses, and build scenery..

What are some good locations for photography of a model near Brandon, FL?

Sunday, November 4th, 2012

Question by foxxy1601: What are some good locations for photography of a model near Brandon, FL?
I am new to the Brandon, FL area and I am looking for some good locations for my photography. I have several models that I will be working with and I am looking for good locations to have a photoshoot with them. I am looking for anything that would be good for a model to have a photoshoot in. Here are some examples (but it is not limited to this I am open to any ideas) fields, barns areas, old train carts, bridges, railroads, parks, anywhere that would work to take pictures of a model! Thanks in advance to anyone who can and is willing to help me out with this!

HO Scale Model Trains Set (Which one’s are good for a beginner)?

Friday, October 5th, 2012

Question by Deadly 1889: HO Scale Model Trains Set (Which one’s are good for a beginner)?
I already own a lot of HO scale trains but I don’t have any track. I recently decided to get back into modeling trains although i don’t want to make any big layout i just want a larger scale floor piece. Any suggestions ? I am already looking at one on amazon it is a Life Like RailRoad Empire set. I am kind of strapped to ordering off of amazon so I would like it to be sold by them. Finally my budget is $ 100 and below. Thanks.

You have to decide between sectional track and flextrack.
Flextrack comes in 3 foot lengths and can be laid in straight or curved lines. The track must be cut using very sharp cutters. I would recommend Xuron track cutters, available at most hobby stores.
Recommended: Atlas, Peco or Shinohara.
Sectional track pieces fit together in pre-shaped pieces (curved and straight) and of different length and curvature.
The best is probably Atlas.
Turnouts, if they are to be used are also available from each of the three companies.

A 4′ x 8′ layout would cost about $ 70.00 in track plus $ 15-$ 20 per turnout.

Where’s a good place to train electric types in soulsilver?

Saturday, September 29th, 2012

Question by Martin: Where’s a good place to train electric types in soulsilver?
I’ve been training my Jolteon in the ocean with super rods but it takes too long….anyone know where i can get it done faster??

Best answer:

Answer by Another
Give jolteon a exp. share that you can obtain by giving the red scale to the person in that house that you first meet Prof. Oak in (Location is between Cherrygrove and Violet city).

Proceed to defeat the Elite 4 over and over with any other pokemon besides jolteon (unless its strong enough). You will get good exp and money at the same time.
