Smoke fluid for Postwar Lionel Trains?

Friday, December 23rd, 2011

Question by V.: Smoke fluid for Postwar Lionel Trains?
Alright, everyone knows how you put the little pellet into the train to make the smoke. Well, I’ve got three Lionel Postwar steamers (671 Turbine, 2056 Hudson and late 2026 Prairie if it helps), and I was wondering if I could use Lionel smoke fluid in them. It takes a long time for the pellets to melt, and the next time you run the train, you have to wait for the smoke element to heat up before it starts smoking.

So, can you use Lionel smoke fluid in Postwar trains? And will it have faster results if you can?
