Eagle Point Railroad Track Tour (Part 1) Eagle Point to Cumberland over Kimball Trestle

The Eagle Point Railroad is a private 7.5 gauge live steam railroad in Dunlap, TN. The line is maintained and operated with help from the Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers who help keep up and run the railroads nearly 12000 foot infastructure. The railroad also supports a full roundhouse, two sizeable yards, car barns, and is now developing an educational center for visiting schools, boy scout troops, and other various educational groups. In this video we’ll begin the multi-part tour of the railroads entire route as built by January 2011. The first part is running from the main yard at Eagle Point to the other end of the railroad which is the yard at Cumberland. This section will show the route when going over the Kimball Trestle, the railroads largest and most impressive structure. Please remember that EPRR is a PRIVATE railroad and does not offer public run days. However if you’re interested in becoming a member to operate over the line please visit the website for the Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers: www.sn3.org/csme
