Like switch from an E to Dm with very little to no pause between? Like how can I train my fingers to do so quickly?

It takes patience and practice. The best tip I could give you is to learn all of your scales and chords and just practice. Pretty soon changing chords gets easier. Good luck =)

What key is this song in please? Chords in description. Thank you!?

Question by qwertyuiop: What key is this song in please? Chords in description. Thank you!?
I have written a song, and it goes A, G, D, A. (All major).
I want to add a guitar solo over the top, and am normally used to just playing notes that sound right and then forming an image of the pentatonic scale pattern to use as my base for the solo. However in this case I’m having a bit of trouble with the key.

If it was in A major, then wouldn’t the seventh chord have to be G sharp diminished? I have just a Gmajor.

The notes used in all the chords fit into the D major and B minor key signatures.

B minor pentatonic scale doesn’t sound completely right to me it has a C natural in it, but neither does D minor pentatonic, which has an F natural.

Help please! I have no real theory training, so am getting a little stuck.

Thanks a lot!

Does the song end with the A major chord? If so I would say the key is A major. Playing a G chord when you are in the key of A is a little unusual but not too far out.
