Spalding Model Railway Exhibition 2009 Part 1

Here is the first part of the three part video on my footage from the Spalding Model Railway Exhibition that was held on the 14th and 15th of November 2009 and this is my first time that I have visited this event and it was more than I expected to see. Infact it was quite similar to that of the Warley event that I also attend once a year. This part of the video starts off with the demonstration of the Minitrix N gauge TEE RaM set which has DCC sound fitted to it! Also while filming the TEE train, I briefly show you the other N gauge continental trains that were displayed as well. The first layout seen in this video is the “Katami Mittsu” layout which is a Japanese N gauge outline modern image layout that is featured in the November 2009 issue of Continental Modeller and overall I find this layout very impressive and I assume this is based around the Sendai/Tohoku region of Japan going by the snow. The rolling stock seen in order of appearence is the JR300 Shinkansen, JR Series 8 Shinkansen, DD51 with a Sleeper Train, Twilight Express EMU, ED75, DF200 (the Japanese cousin to the Class 56 and the 60) and a Kiha 58 two car Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU). Next up, we see “Yarborough”, a Modern Image OO gauge British outline layout set in the Midlands going by the rolling stock operating on the layout. The rolling as shown in order of appearence is a Class 220 Virgin Voyager, Class 57 with MkII carriages in Virgin Trains livery, Class 170/5 in Central Trains livery, Class 153 in
