Milwaukee RailRoad in 1946 – “A Railroad at Work”

Promotional film about the Milwaukee Road made just before the centenary of the railroads operations. The film the services the railroad offered to the public, which were far more than just the transportation of passengers and freight by train. Naturally the trains of the day are featured, however there are also a lot of behind the scenes activities shown. The Milwaukee Road, officially the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (CMStP&P RR) was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States from 1847 until its merger into the Soo Line Railroad on January 1, 1986.
